Last week I watched my favorite video on YouTube.com, but sadly it can't be downloaded. Until I found a nice trix from my friends. Let me share it to you guys, if you already know this trix, sorry :)

note: Only works with firefox..

1. Get firefox browser here.
2. Get the firefox plugin called 'Greasemonkey' here, install it, then restart your firefox.
3. Click on these link -> youtube_to_me.user.js, greasemonkey will ask you to install this javascript, install it.

Once you finish step 3 above, try it, go to www.youtube.com, choose your target video. Look at the red bar above the page saying "Save As to download Flash Video", right click on it and "Save Link As..". Rename your file to .flv. You'll need FLV Player to play this video (sorry, I forgot the link). OR you can use k-lite codec to play this video in Windows Media Player

Hhmmm...., well, did you get the greasemonkey script installation dialog when you click that link?? Urrr.., sorry, did you already registered member on youtube?? You should open the link to play the video, not the video preview. Umm.., sorry if it not work on your case, but it's working for me. Here is a screenshot [www.joshkinberg.com]. Or you can try another solution given on above replies..!

I have installed Firefox browser,greasemonkey plugin as well as youtube to me.user.js. by clicking on the links above..Unfortunately I am unable to get the RED BAR in the URLwww.youtube.com to enable me to download the videos. Can anyone tell me where could I have gone wrong

hey no need to all these ... u can just dwnload youtube videos by writing kiss in front of youtube url for example ..ur url is http://www.youtube.com u shoul write http://www.kissyoutube.com

NO!! I didn't create this script. I forgot to give credits to the original creator of this nice script (..because I forgot his name). Right now, I just started to learn javascript. Maybe someday I could write some code like this one.

tis is quite difficult actually..get orbit downloader..trust me it works much2 better n easier n its supports alot more ..sites..
